The Tree Foundation of Kern

The Tree Foundation of Kern's general mission is to increase the size of the urban forest in Kern County. 

How do we do this?

• Coordinate volunteer planting programs with schools, churches, cities and communities throughout Kern County
• Promote proper pruning  (International Society of Arboriculture standards)
• Advocate for ordinances that protect trees in both the public and the private sector
• Give advice, for a fee, about proper tree care and planting

On our website, you will find guides to planting and caring for trees, how to participate in one of our programs, how to give a Memory Tree as a gift, volunteer opportunities, links to related web sites, and how to become a member.
